Barkpelt looked around her. A strong storm had come through the camp, and rain and strong winds had lasted for days. Now that the storm was over, the clan members were working to repair and strengthen the camp. The camp was a mess, but luckily only minor damage had been done. This was the first day since the storm that the cats were able to move without sinking up to they bellies in mud. Now that they were able to move, Barkpelt, along with her clan mates were to meet and discuss what needed to be done. Brambles and moss needed to be found. Herbs and medical supplies also needed to be gathered if any cat should come across some. They looked to their leader for advice, but already had small gatherings to speak among themselves. The average sized, brown striped she-cat looked around here. Her hazel eyes taking in the damage, and also thinking Starclan that no cat was killed. There were those with injuries, scrapes and bruises mostly, one or two with a torn claw, a few with a sprained joint. So far there was no hint of sickness, and no broken bones, the clan had come out well in this fierce storm. Now they had to hurry and rebuild before another clan took advantage and tried to attack when they were weakened.

Glowstar’s pale brown eyes scanned the camp. The damage had been plentiful that much was for certain. It was simply luck that there had been so few injuries and that none were that severe. She took in the damage and did a quick calculation in her head. First she needed to check with Dewclaw to see how her stocks were and send out a patrol to gather any herbs that she was low on or lacking. Second she’d have to organize the uninjured cats to start repairing the damage that had been done to the structure of the camp. Third, she should probably send a patrol to go hunting as the fresh kill pile was a bit low thanks once again to the storm and they would need all their strength. There hadn’t been a conflict between Thunderclan and one of the other clans in almost two moons and that was something that she didn’t want to change any time soon. If something like that did happen it would likely cause more trouble than it would be worth in the end. Padding over to the Medicine Cat’s den, she poked her head in. “Dewclaw,” she greeted with a small nod to the Medicine Cat as she entered the den.
“Hmm? Oh hello Glowstar,” her sister meowed in response. “That was quite a storm. Luckily most of my supplies made it through. However I’m short on poppy seeds and dandelion leaves and I’m completely out of cobwebs.” The tortoiseshell frowned as she sorted through the previously neatly arranged herbs. “I could also do with some more marigold…” Dewclaw turned her gaze over to Glowstar. “Do you think you could send a couple cats to go look for those herbs? It’s alright if they can’t find any dandelion leaves but the others are harder to work without.”
Glowstar nodded, “Poppy seeds, dandelion leaves, cobwebs, and marigold. Got it, thank you Dewclaw.” With that taken care of, she left Dewclaw to organize her supplies and headed back out to organize a patrol. She looked around for Skeletalstripe but found no sign of her deputy. He’d probably gone to train somewhere. She’d wanted him to lead the hunting patrol but she’d have to send someone else. Her gaze landed on her brother and she padded over to him. “Falcontail, do you mind leading a hunting patrol? We need to keep up our strength and the fresh kill pile’s running low. While you’re at it, keep an eye out for any herbs. Mainly poppy seeds, dandelion leaves, and marigold as well as any cobwebs you can find.” Falcontail’s gaze flickered over to her briefly and he nodded, heading over to some of the uninjured warriors and apprentices to organize the patrol. Even though she’d told Falcontail to keep an eye out for the herbs it was probably best to send a couple cats out with the sole purpose of finding herbs. The leader spotted Barkpelt and headed over to the she-cat. “Barkpelt,” she murmured. “Could you take one or two other cats and collect some supplies? Dewclaw needs poppy seeds, cobwebs, marigold, and dandelion leaves.”

Pebblepaw - "I can help!" Pebblepaw volunteered enthusiastically, dipping her head politely as she approached to show that she meant no disrespect for interrupting. The chocolate and cream torbie apprentice smiled up at Barkpelt and Glowstar happily, her tail twitching from side to side. "Not many warriors can recognize herbs past poppy seeds and cobwebs. I can show them which ones to pick." The medicine cat apprentice explained. After the storm she'd enjoy feeling like some use, and Dewclaw could handle the small injuries around here without her hovering around bored. If she could help out the warriors and show them which herbs to pick, she'd feel much better.
She cocked her head to look up at Barkpelt with a hopeful smile. She wanted to help, but she did't want to be a burden on the warriors either. "You wouldn't mind, would you?" She asked, flicking her ears back slightly as a sudden wave of shyness washed over her. She could always hang around camp and clean up instead, but that wouldn't nearly as fun. No, fun doesn't matter. The clan needs to be rebuilt. She scolded herself silently, shaking away the down feelings.

((Sorry I took so long to respond, things have been rather hectic lately.))
Glowstar smiled at the young apprentice’s enthusiasm, though she remembered too late that Barkpelt had other duties to attend to with her apprentice. “That’s a good point Pebblepaw. Barkpelt has to work with Darkpaw but I don’t think locating the medicinal herbs will take too long so I’ll go in her place. The uninjured cats have already begun repairs so they can work for a bit without me,” she mused aloud, nodding to Falcontail as he left the camp with his apprentice and another cat to go hunting. “I don’t mind at all Pebblepaw.” She started to pad towards the camp entrance that led out to the woods of Thunderclan territory. “Let’s get going, the sooner we get going, the sooner we can be back here with the herbs for Dewclaw.”

Pebblepaw - Pebblepaw froze stock-still when Glowstar declared that she in fact would be accompanying her on the trip, rather than Barkpelt. Pride tingled warmly inside of her as she beamed at her leader, dipping her head in respectful thanks though she'd much rather be bouncing around in joy. She was actually going to get to go herb hunting with her leader of all cats, this day just seemed to be getting better. "Thank you so much, Glowstar!" She squealed in ecstasy, turning to bound after the bigger she-cat as she made her way to the camp entrance. Pulling up alongside Glowstar, she couldn't keep her tail from waving happily as she went.
"Do you know any herbs?" She asked curiously, looking up at Glowstar with young, green eyes. She really didn't know that much about Glowstar at all. She'd have loved to learn, but it didn't seem especially polite to pry.

Glowstar chuckled at the young cat’s enthusiasm as she padded out of the camp and started through the forest with her eyes keen, looking for any herbs. “Not anywhere near as much as my sister but I do know quite a bit,” she responded calmly as she spotted some dandelions. She made her way over to the plants and started picking off the leaves. There were plenty here so that was one down, three to go. They’d still need poppy seeds, cobwebs, and marigold if she remembered correctly. “My brother Streampelt used to get into all sorts of trouble when we were kits. Back then we didn’t live in Thunderclan so we had to figure out for ourselves what herbs to use.” She smiled softly at the memory, though there was an under lying sorrow in her eyes. “Dewclaw always was quick to figure out which ones to use so I wasn’t surprised when she decided to go down the path of a Medicine Cat.”

Pebblepaw - "Oh that's right, Dewclaw is your sister. I had almost forgotten." She admitted with a small smile, her ears pricked attentively so she didn't miss a word. The dappled she-cat was honored that Glowstar had decided to share anything with her at all. Watching as the leader veered off to collect some dandelion leaves, she debated whether to pick some of the stems as well. The hollow stems contained a white fluid that were good for soothing bee stings, but she decided that the juice would just run anywhere and she'd never get it back to camp. Besides, it was probably better fresh anyway.
Lifting her nose to snuff the air, Pebblepaw turned and followed her sense of smell as she wandered off, following the bitter wind of marigold. She found a growing near a small tumbling of water, the marigold using the running to its advantage and growing heartily. She nipped them off at the stems, finding use for both the leaves, stems and flowers. Some of the juice flooded her mouth as she picked them up and her nose crinkled instinctively at the bad taste. Turning her head around to look for Glowstar, she asked, "Ready? I got some!"

Glowstar nodded, a slight chuckle escaping from the older she-cat. “Yes well we don’t exactly look very similar so that’s no surprise.” Dewclaw meant a lot to her. She was her only living sister as Leopardkit had been born dead. Although she had once spoken to her, her younger sister had been one of the Starclan cats who gave the leader her nine lives. That was more than just a ceremony of leadership for her, it had also been the time when she’d come to terms with Streampelt’s death and met Leopardkit for the first time. If they had gotten to grow up in the clan she was certain that they would have been amazing additions to Thunderclan. As it was though, they had been happy that one time she saw them, that was enough for her.
Glowstar padded after Pebblepaw when she turned to follow the bitter scent of marigold to a small stream. She knew this place… The gentle current gave way to the sound of fighting cats within the boundries of her mind as an old memory surfaced and Glowstar flinched slightly. That was right, she did know this place. She sat down and looked into the flowing water as she spoke, “Would you like to know a bit of Thunderclan history Pebblepaw?” she asked the young apprentice.

[Sorry I didn't get to reply before.]
Barkpelt looked around camp. Small groups were starting to form as cats gathered to to carry out their tasks. Just them Glowstar came up. Before Barkpelt could answer Pebblepaw came bounding to join them. She had no problem taking Pebblepaw out to look for herbs, but she had to find Darkpaw first. She looked around, and Glowstar spoke before she found him. Not wanting to argue, she agreed with them, and went back to searching for Darkpaw. She also noticed that Skeletalstripe was missing, and wondered if they could be together. She intended to keep an eye out for the two of them, but would not worry too much for now about it.
