Appearance ;

Simply enough, Masquerade is a real beauty. Her fur is snowy and white, the colour of the first flakes of fallen snow in leafbare. Her pelt is long and plush, the fur being soft and framing her body nicely. Though she does have muscle to fight and hunt, being quite strong with broad shoulders, her thick fur softens the hard angles of her body and gives her a luscious look overall. Her whiskers are long and white, framing her muzzle and flowing from her face. However, her claws are ice white and curved, being hooked over like bleached thorns. While she does have muscle, she is better equipped for hunting and stalking practices, rather than straight-out fighting. Her bright pelt can make her a target in battle so she tends to avoid it.  Speaking of, she is very proud of her bright coat and can be a little vain with her grooming. 

Masquerade has mismatched eyes, one being blood ready and one being cerulean blue. With her white coat, there is a good chance that if she had been born with two blue eyes, she would have been blind. Masquerade's odd coloured eyes only serve to enhance her exotic and mysterious personality. 

Personality ;

Masquerade may be a pretty face, but don't underestimate her. She is wily and cunning and will resort to whatever means necessary to carry out her orders. In her opinion, she works with the other Brutalizers but is not completely loyal to them as a whole, but rather the Chancellor as an individual. If she wants to keep information from her comrades, she will with his qualms about the matter. Masquerade is not above blackmail, bribery or force to get what she wants, and when she decides she wants something, it's going to be hers. She is prim and composed, never resorting to violence other than the sharpness in her tongue. She finds herself above such things as violence and will often serve the diplomat and adviser, letting the other Brutalizers deal with unsanitary things such as killing and fighting. She is more likely to stay in the background and offer orders and advice rather than fight herself, though she can be quite viscous if the need arises.

Masquerade values loyalty and holds all those in the Republic with the same regard. If she finds they are not loyal, she will go after them herself with a vengeance. She would turn against any of her comrades at the Chancellor's order, as she is loyal to him singularly rather than the whole of the Republic.

History ;

Masquerade was born in a kittypet home, which explains her unusual coat, as white cats are incredibly rare in the wild. At six moons of age, her and her other sister were both taken away by twolegs and put up for adoption in a pound. Her sister Mistique didn't seem to mind it so much though. She was content to live the life of a kittypet, a toy or image of beauty for them to keep around, but Masquerade was not. She could pretend all she wanted, but she was destined for greater things.

With Mistique's gravitating personality, she was adopted quickly. The two sisters looking so alike, were actually adopted together by an old lady. As soon as the cage opened, Masquerade took her chance and bolted, leaving her softer sister behind. She made it out of the pound and started a life on her own, not that she knew the first thing about it.

She ran into the Republic a few weeks later, dying of hunger and a freak fox attack. Her usual pride was dampened by the storm falling around them, so she asked for help and they took her in. She became a loyal member of the Republic as soon as she met the Chancellor for the first time and was immediately inspired by his desires. She worked her way up to the top to become a Brutalizer, sticking loyally to the Chancellor's side the whole while. Whatever she could do to make his dreams come true, Masquerade would do it, because she was so inspired by his ideals. She sometimes thinks about her sister and misses her, but knows that Mistique made the right choice by her, as Masquerade did too.
