Hawkfeather of Riverclan
When she teased him letting her tail tap his shoulder lightly he felt a bit annoyed, she was literally provoking him and she didn't even realize it. What made it worse was if he got mad at her she'd be so confused and hurt it would just be his fault all over again. He covered his frustration with a brief nod, she really had to stop touching him or declare the love for him that wasn't even there. He chuckled at his own thought; it was a painful joke but none the less funny.
Hawkfeather could feel her eyes on him and before he knew it was speaking in the airy, pleasant tone of hers. Her answer had been logical which was what Hawkfeather had expected and he let out a small sigh. "Yes I do think what if I knew some cat that had a certain liking towards you; you probably know he too he's very well known. Would you dislike the idea of feelings that involve attachment or be welcoming to them?" Hawkfeather knew his cleverness was making the tables turn completely as he and Stormpelt were both known very well but for different reasons. He hoped she would immediately believe it to be Stormpelt, it was pretty obvious to the whole clan he liked her seeing how he approached her very dominantly as if he own her, then was territorial about her when another tom attempted to speak to her. All the clues added up to him but he didn't know if she was ignorant to those or not.
He certainly hoped now he didn't want her to pin it on him although he was asking for himself he wasn't one to open up about it. He was the type to dance around the whole afraid to peek inside as it could be a rabbit hole or a rattle snake and with those two aroma engulfing each other it was hard to tell the difference of which one was there presently. Shaking his head he gave her a small smile and gestured with his tail back to the water as it had settled comfortably back to its original appearance.

Whisperingwinds briefly glanced back towards the river with carefully observing eyes as she caught flashes of a few fish striking beneath the water. Her pupils widened in delight as she got ready to strike at them, though was cut short and caught of guard when she heard Hawkfeather's question, causing her to freeze and place her paw back against the ground since she had gotten ready to lash out at the fish. Her blue eyes slowly flickered over to lock onto Hawkfeather's frame in question, her expression suddenly serious over the topic. Sure their were those few toms in the clan she'd drool over, just like any other she-cat, but Stormpelt wasn't exactly one of them.
Sure he was the deputy and had nice looks, any she-cat's dream, but she couldn't stand how he was so dominant when he spoke to her, as if he was trying to impress her, though was trying to hard in the process of it all. Her nose crinkled lightly at the thought. She didn't even want to get started about how he acted when other toms came up to talk to her. He did not own her, thought Stormpelt probably that he did.
"Dislike it?" She repeated with a small frown. To her love was a wonderful thing if others welcomed it to themselves, Whisperingwinds for one was always welcoming, just not to the toms who liked to toy and use her.
"I'd be welcoming towards it, though it'd be a shock to find a tom in this clan who'd actually want me for affection and love." She pointed out as she choked down a sigh as she glanced towards the river, this time taking note of her reflection and not the fish. She was pretty, Whisperingwinds knew that much for a fact, and sometimes she cursed Starclan for it. It was so difficult to find a mate, a tom that didn't want her for her looks but for her actions and personality. Word Count - 329 Comments - N/A

Hawkfeather of Riverclan
Hawkfeather nodded briefly at her words, and he felt slightly bad for the she-cat. She hardly was ever treated the way she should be or at least the way he thought she should be. Yet he could possibly do it if he tried but, he was too fearful of rejection and not to mention everyone would look down upon her for mating with a cat like him especially with his little disease. It could possibly pass on to his kits if he ever had any and well he didn't want that. He frowned and spoke softly, "I'm to all to good at those things so I can't help you sadly. Perhaps there is another who can although I'm not certain if you'll find him or not. But I wish you the best of luck." He smiled faintly trying to remove the dull look in his emerald orbs. He could let her acknowledge that he was generally upset but not by her words but his own. They spoke the truth as did his thoughts. He was a disaster for her and could only do so much harm as a friend so he'd rather keep it that way.
He rose to his paws shaking them out as if it was going to remove the feelings he currently had. He settled back down on his hind legs still tense as he was moments ago. "We should get back to hunting and return this to camp eventually. Don't want the fish to lose its flavor because of the sun." He joked lightly but it was true that if the fish became bleached the flavor of it was no longer the same and he didn't need anyone blaming that on him. He also decided he needed to have another conversation with Braveheart, he seemed to be the only feline that respect him in the clan besides his leader but that was based of their own clan rules. That was possibly because no one really talked to Braveheart either besides his daughter, they were sort of two in the same but for different reasons. He didn't know if Braveheart was aware of his feelings for his daughter or if he was and didn't trust them but he was eventually going to reveal it knowing the old tom would keep them to his self. Especially if the bronze tom asked him to.
He enjoyed the loyalty Braveheart gave to him, it was friendship that he was willing to hold on to till the last drop. Which was probably awkward for Whisperingwinds if she ever found out; After all how many tom actually became friends with the father of the she-cat they were having feelings for. Not many, but then again most of his clan didn't care for feelings entirely they were based off appearances which disturbed him. Considering his little twitching problem, if he didn't have it he might of been the Stormpelt she was just talking about. Maybe Starclan had gave him a blessing in disguise of a curse, or maybe Hawkfeather was just making things up again to raise his hopes and moments later destroy them. He let out a small sigh looking up at Whisperingwinds, the things you don't even see.

Whisperingwinds' eyes drifted back to look at Hawkfeather for a second as he spoke and gave a small nod of agreement before briefly glancing back towards the fish they had already caught. seven. If they stopped now they could each carry enough and save the trip back. At that thought he eyes briefly flickered up to scan the sky for the sun that beat down on them, immediately noticing it. Sun high would be a few minutes away therefore she would have to take some food to her father once they got back to camp to make sure he ate. A small frown appeared over her maw at that. Gosh, she really wish he would eat more often without her urging him. Not that it was a pain to her, just that fact that she was always worrying over him. Weather he'd still be alive or not when she left for camp and came back was one of her biggest fears of all.She glanced back over to Hawkfeather after a moment and offered a light smile of response, giving a small shrug of her shoulders in reply.
"We have seven fish as it is. I think that's enough, don't you?" She asked as she rose up to her paws, stretching her legs. "Besides, if we catch anymore it'll be a trip back and we don't want any loners stealing our food while we're not around it, do we?" She pointed out, having learned that the hard way a moon ago when she didn't have anything to bring back to camp for the elders and queens. She walked over to her two fish and picked each of them up by the ends of their tails before trailing over to Hawkfeather's pile and adding one of them so she could carry three of them back to camp. Her blue eyes darted back over to the top after a second, knowing she probably looked goofy but didn't care, and paused to wait for him, her ear tip twitching lightly in the direction of the camp. Hawkfeather of Riverclan
Back to the camp...together? He wary of that happening not that anyone would make jokes of them to her face but to his. He could only imagine the mocking words some cat would taunt him with later and it made him less thrilled about carrying the food back with her. But without much hesitation he scooped the tails of the slippery fish into his jaws and nodded at her before he took the lead back to camp. With each paw step that brought him closer he kept homing Starclan would grace him with a break of the vocal abuse he received. He didn't need to flip off on some cat in front of Whisperingwinds. It was funny how he was always attempting to be on his best behavior when she was around and soon the other cats would find it amusing too. "You’re right." Was all he muttered on their way back to the camp.
He paused at the entrance to the camp, waiting for her. Maybe he could convince her to go ahead into the camp so it wouldn't appear as if they had come into together. But knowing Whisperingwinds she'd ask several questions on why she had to do such a thing, her curious mind made things complicated for Hawkfeather and sometimes made him extremely frustrated. Especially since he knew if he told her the truth she wouldn't necessarily understand and then become fairly upset with him all over again. He didn't need that not again. Letting out a sigh he squished his plan of trying to convince her to go before him and just continued on into the camp towards the fresh-kill pile.
His head clicked back and forth in a nervous manner that was caused from his unfortunate tick. Hurrying towards the pile he released the fish from his jaws and scampered off towards the elders den not waiting for Whisperingwinds entirely but he did glance briefly over his shoulders before he disappeared. He had to stay away from her if it wasn't just the two of them, he didn't need to ruin her nearly impeccable image.

Braveheart glanced up curiously at the sound of paw steps, simply offering a warm smile of response when he took notice of Hawkfeather coming into the den. "I trust everything went well?" He asked softly, the question directed to his new companion as he sat up, his ears lightly flicking forward and eyes questioning. "At least I hope so. She's been in such a foul mood for these past days." The older tom sighed, glancing briefly towards the den as if expecting his daughter to burst in with all of the hatred in the world directed at nothing, really. Hawkfeather had come in at an earlier time during the day asking if he had known where Whisperingwinds might be lurking out. The River. If anyone knew anything about Whisperingwinds it was that, out of all of the territory, she was bound to be at the river.

Hawkfeather of Riverclan
Hawkfeather attempted not to release everything to the older tom in one gasp. This was a little easier than he thought as he regained his normal breathing within moments. Eyes lying upon the older tom, he smile faintly before settling onto his haunches trying to seem as fidgety as he felt. "She's fine now, I would say I fixed it but then again I don't think I fixed every problem." He huffed loudly making another elder nearby groan in annoyance. He winced at the groan he had forgotten the other elders in the den. Such a careless move that shouldn't be happening considering how aware he usually was shaking his head he lowered his voice as he continued on.
"Whisperingwinds has had quiet the temper though; before I was going to apologize she was nearly going to rip my head off. Please don't tell me all she-cats are like that or I don't think I'd ever be able to deal with a mate." He half joked but was half serious, Hawkfeather didn't like when the little beige she-cat was angry with him. Perhaps it was because of the feelings he had grown for her, but he knew he just didn't like it. He also didn't like when she smiled or laughed at anyone else but him. Then again he always did have a slight possessive problem with anyone he had manage to get close to. He wondered how Braveheart felt about Hawkfeather and his daughter or if he even knew what was going on. He didn't doubt the old tom didn't know what was going on; the elder was clever and just because he was getting older didn't mean he could see or at least not yet. "Your daughter will be in here in a few to give you a fish...."
Glancing casually around the elder's den he made sure no ears were perked up listening to the conversation he was having currently. Leaning forward slightly he continued on in a hushed tone, "Do you know about. Well you know the err- um I don't want to catch you off guard but m-my..." He paused hearing footsteps near the den. He didn't know if it was Whisperingwinds or not but whoever it was just enough to stop him from revealing the feelings he had for Whisperingwinds.
It wasn't until the head of the footsteps poked into the den; he locked emerald eyes to steel blue eyes of Stormpelt. The tom grin briefly and it wasn't all that welcoming. "Braveheart I believe Whisperingwinds wishes for you to have lunch with her...outside today." The gray tom spoke in a booming voice all the while watching Hawkfeather. This caused several elders yowl in irritation giving them apologetic glances they curled back up into their balls. Stormpelt smiled briefly at the bronze tom before removing his head from the den and disappearing. Hawkfeather merely glanced over at Braveheart before he spoke again this time his voice as monotone as it constantly was. "I think you should go see your daughter before she flips her fur inside out." If it was a joke intended it wasn't going to be easily read as such as his stone expression didn't help the matter. It seemed the panicking Hawkfeather had vanished and was replaced by the marble version of him.

Braveheart's eyes flickered over to look at the elder who had groaned, a small chuckle escaping from him in the amusement it brought to see another cat who got annoyed so easily. "They don't know who to have any fun." He grunted softly under his breath in explanation for Hawkfeather, a weak grin on his face. He paused, his ears lifting up before his grin faded into more of a small and reassuring smile at hearing about his daughter. He knew this. He had always known this. Whisperingwinds' temper had never been a huge issue but when it was she took everything out on everyone. No matter had caused it she was at fault with the world and everyone in it. He chuckled faintly and watched Hawkfeather with sympathetic green eyes.
"Ah, pay no mind to the temper. Sure it gets old, quite a bit, but... You learn to live and put up with it when you find someone you love. It's worth putting up with to eventually see a smile on their face once the storm's over." He stated, smiling softly at that. He used to love seeing Rainpool when she was in a good mood, always so bubbly and bright. She used to love basking in the sun shine, always saying that it was Starclan's way of showing that it would be a nice day with no temper and faults. Then again she was always slightly moody in the rain, stating how it would be a boring day of her pelt being soaked and nothing to do. But it was always worth it to eventually see her smile no matter what the fault in her.
Whisperingwinds, on the other hand.. She held a grudge when her anger was revealed, and when she was happy she was happy everyday, not matter the weather or the temper of the clan. He smiled faintly at that and slumped his shoulders in a slight shrug, "I know she will be. She worries far to much for my health." He murmured softly, cutting off slightly to choke back a few sputters of coughing. "She'll find someone eventually to get her mind off of everything about me. I'm fine. When Starclan chooses to claim me that's their choice and she had to learn to accept that. I'm not going to be here forever." He stated lightly, pausing when Hawkfeather began speaking again.
He blinked curiously, sitting up and waiting patiently for the tom to spit out what he was trying to say, though he was cut off in the process of it. "We can talk about it later." He stated quietly and reassuringly to his companion, smiling lightly. He looked up at Stormpelt's booming voice, flashing him a light smile of response. "Ah, yes. Thank you for informing me Stormpelt." He replied before looking back to Hawkfeather with inquiring eyes.
"Yes. I probably should." He chuckled softly, smiling as he slowly rose to his paws and stretched his tensed limbs with a small and unsatisfied grimace towards it. "Would you like to join us?" He asked, smiling kindly at the bronze tom with kind eyes. "I don't mind at all and Whisperingwinds seems to enjoy your company. It's nice to see her with someone other then the usual bunch. She needs new companions." He murmured softly. Word Count - 552 Comments - N/A

Hawkfeather of Riverclan
When the old tom spoke on Starclan claiming him Hawkfeather didn't know how to respond and luckily he didn't have to because Stormpelt had interrupted their conversation. He couldn't imagine how Whisperingwinds would react if she awoke to find her father hadn't one day. His eyes dulled at the thought of her face forming into a stone like expression or even worse tears. And when the elder began to raise it only made his thoughts worse.
Hawkfeather watched as the elder rose to his paws. The grimace he had displayed on his face during stretching made the bronze tom frown. But the frown quickly disappeared when he formed his lips to ask Hawkfeather a question. He was right Whisperingwinds did seem to enjoy his company and that was the problem. He needed to stay away from Whisperingwinds because he wasn't positive for her, but she didn't seem to see it. When the cat said she needed new companions he searched the same emerald eyes he used to observe the word. Yet these eyes were different holding a different glow to them, that of knowledge and blissfulness. It only made him wonder how the old tom was so satisfied with life even after his mate died. Hawkfeather, if he ever could retrieve a mate knew he wouldn’t be able to function after his mate died; then again everyone dealt with things differently. This would explain why Whisperingwinds seemed like day to his night considering how they both had tragedies in their lives.
"Since you suggested, I will." Otherwise I'd be watching from the edges of the camp like the stalker I am, He thought. He nodded at Braveheart waiting for him to leave the den first before following after. As they neared Whisperingwinds he could feel eyes on him, glancing about he spotted Ivyfur and Littlebrook glaring directly at him as he continued on by Braveheart’s side. He didn't even try to conjure thoughts of what they could possibly thinking, he was too busy focused on why Braveheart seemed to think he was better company for Whisperingwinds than the others. I honestly didn’t make much sense to him but he was certain Braveheart had a fairly good reason for believing whatever he did; after all the old man was no fool. He settled down onto his paws, smiling faintly at both of them before his eyes fell to his paws waiting for them to speak. Hawkfeather felt awkward and out of place between both of them, it is like he wasn’t supposed to be this type of situation. Not to mention he wasn’t even a part of their family, then again he didn’t have any remaining family so he couldn’t technically complain. But it didn’t stop him from feeling wrong for being in the presence.

Braveheart beamed lightly at hearing that and smiled, nodding before he started out of the den with calm eyes as to not alarm his daughter with any sign of negative emotion, but knowing her she'd immediately jump up to ask how he was feeling, if anything had gotten worse since yesterday, what she could do for him, had he been eating and drinking like he should? He sighed lowly at the thought of it but immediately wiped the feeling away as he strolled over to his daughter. beside the fresh kill pile, with Hawkfeather following at his side. "I hope you don't mind, I invited Hawkfeather to join us for lunch." He stated softly, offering her a gentle smile.
Whisperingwinds blue eyes flickered up at she noticed her father and she smiled kindly over at him, her eyes blinking in curiosity when she took notice of Hawkfeather at his side. That was new. Her eyes drifted back down to the fresh kill she had picked out to force Braveheart to eat today, a water vole, before she looked back towards the two toms. She rose up to her paws and gently nuzzled her father in greeting when he walked over before stepping back and listening to him for a moment. "I don't mind at all." She replied with a happy smile playing over her face before she nodded lightly over to the Warrior's den. "Let's go eat over there. There's no sense in laying around in the middle of the camp, taking up space." She laughed lightly as she shifted and snatched up the water vole before strolling over and sitting down a little ways away from the entrance so they wouldn't bother being in the way of anyone. "How are you feeling?" Her blue eyes glinted briefly with concern after she had placed the fresh kill down, her eyes scanning over her father's skinny form. She offered a faintly apologetic smile when Braveheart let out a low sigh of response and settled for the usual response of, "I'm feeling fine." He stated softly for the millionth time since they moved him into the Elder's den. Word Count - 366 Comments - N/A

Hawkfeather of Riverclan
Hawkfeather watched silently as Whisperingwinds rose to her paws before she nuzzled her father. A pang of jealousy hit his side faintly, he wished she would do that to him when he arrived but their relationship would never become that intimate. The brief glance over in his direction of her blue eyes made his confirmation of his unwelcome presence known. He knew he should have denied the elder's respect but he respected Braveheart too much to deny without an extremely good reason. he also knew fairly well if he denied and then told Braveheart he didn't wish to accompany him, because of his feelings for Whisperingwinds the elder would look at him strange. Rising to his paws he snagged a fish with teeth nipping at the flounder lightly as he listened to the two interact.
He chuckled with amusement as Braveheart's reply to Whisperingwinds constant question. He knew it probably drove her father crazy but it also brought him probably a small amount of happiness to know she cared. Hawkfeather withdrew a frown that desired to form, he had never been lucky enough to hold a relationship like that with either of neither his parents nor his sibling. Shaking his head lightly he glanced up at the too, before speaking in a half amused tone, "you two are always going to drive each other crazy with worry huh?"while his facial expression showed amusement he still felt hallow inside. The tom could only wish and hope he could develop a relationship like such with anyone. He had missed his chance with his parents and his brother had never been one to be affectionate. Then again Hawkfeather wasn't one to be affectionate, expect with Whisperingwinds. His green eyes lowered to the fish for a brief second before returning to the father and daughter in front of him.

Braveheart chuckled lowly in amusement at that and slumped his shoulders in a fall shrug of reply. "There's nothing I have to worry about when my daughter goes around threatening murder on random cats in the clan because she's in a bad mood." He stated teasingly, amusement glittering in his green eyes as he glanced back to his daughter who had flushed in embarrassment at the thought of how childish she had recently been acting.
Whisperingwinds sighed lowly, shooting Braveheart a glare of response before crouching down beside the prey and neatly beginning to rip the fur away from it to reveal the soft and delicious meat beneath it. "Well it's a natural feeling when your caught with black cough." She stated in defense, glaring briefly at her father before shoving the vole over in front of him while her tail curled around her paws. She smiled, pleased when the tom sighed quietly before eating some of the prey. He knew she wouldn't be pleased and would worry for the rest of the day if he didn't eat anything so it was best to just skip past all of the arguing and deal with it from the get go. Hawkfeather of Riverclan
The bronze tom laughed when Braveheart referred to Whisperingwinds tantrum earlier that day. as soon as those words had slipped from his lips he had begun to form a mental picture of Whisperingwinds threatening his clan mates. one in particular being Stormpelt, he could imagine fairly well the overgrown tom attempting to smooth talk the she-cat only to find that she was soon hurtling angry words at him like daggers. he chuckled further at the thought, it was amusing when she was mad when it wasn't directed at him of course. When his eyes landed on Whisperingwinds he felt emotions stir in him. The red that was printed on her cheeks made her appear far more beautiful than usual, in addition to the glow in those azure eyes of hers.
He shifted uncomfortably trying to get a hand on his thoughts; he shouldn't be thinking of her like that especially in the presence of her father. Just because her father was able to approve on hawkfeather being in her presence did not mean that he approved on anything further than mere company holders to each other. When she shot back something in defense of her flushing he couldn't help but wonder if she was angry or more embarrassed. He was certain her father knew that answer but Hawkfeather was foolish enough to barge in on their conversation. He waited till Braveheart stared eating the water vole his daughter had teeth plucked the feathers from carefully. "You two are fairly amusing I must say but I believe I should go see what duties call to me. I heard Stormpelt howling earlier about more border patrols are needed."
He paused not certain if they would take his suggestion the wrong way. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy their company but he couldn't handle both of their company at the same time not to mention he felt highly out of place. He didn't belong there with them and he knew that the awkward tension would only rise if he stayed. Finishing the rest of his fish he glanced at them both briefly rising to his paws he continued on with his suggestion as his ears perked listening for talk of a patrol, "I think someone is gather one now so I'll be off to that, as duties call my name demandingly. Thank you for letting me eat with you." offering brave heart a faint smile and glancing over at Whisperingwinds he stood waiting for a response.as he was placed on standby hoping to retrieve dismissal from one of the two cats was when sudden he whisked out, "and Braveheart I assume we will continue our conversation later wont we?"
He watched the elder with inquiring green eyes to those same calm green hues he held. Hoping the old tom would respond quickly so he could vanish from this current situation and have the awkward tension building up in him disappear as well, But with the two in front of him it was always hard to tell how they'd react to thing so he'd just have to wait patiently for their unpredictable responses.

Braveheart chuckled faintly at that as he pushed the vole away after taking a few bites from it to please his daughter. "Stormpelt? Howling over something? Say it isn't so. I've yet to hear that tom howl over something that doesn't annoy him." The old tom grinned sarcastically as he sat and and stretched with a small roll of his green eyes. Stormpelt howled and complained about what they didn't have so much it was a wonder that half of the cats in the clan weren't deaf of his constant voice. His ears pricked up softly as he took the time to listen to Hawkfeather's words before he smiled reassuringly and nodded swiftly in response, "You're welcome, and yes, of course. We will continue on with it later." He answered calmly.
Whisperingwinds stifled a giggle at Braveheart's words towards their deputy. He knew he wasn't exactly fond of the grey tom and the advanced he repeatedly made on her but it was simply best to ignore it all. "See you later Hawkfeather." She stated softly after she had glanced over to smile kindly at the bronze tom, figuring it was the best answer to muster out after her inappropriate behavior from earlier in the day. "Be careful." She stated, considering she said it a lot when one of her friends were going out to do something she didn't see it as a big deal. Word Count - 242 Comments - N/A

Hawkfeather of Riverclan
The young warrior nodded briefly at Braveheart giving him a brief smile of amusement at his words towards the gray cloud they were forced to call deputy. "Well maybe you should hear him when I'm present within the camp at the same time as him. It could have you wish he couldn't speak for several moons." He said half halfheartedly, his eyes shifted to Whisperingwinds who glanced the bronze tom-cat over before saying her own goodbye. He had already turned tail when he caught her second statement. He attempted to not let it faze him, telling himself she only said it out of respect for a clan mate. But his emotions were screaming a different tune that she might care further than just clan mates. He rolled his shoulders lightly noticing he had held his tick under control during that whole encounter. In fact usually whenever he was in the presence of Braveheart his tick didn't normally flare up as bad making it seem as if he could possibly be normal just for a few moments.
Yet those moments were gone and his irritable twitching of his head had reformed refreshed and promising to grant him teasing on the patrol he would soon be on. He let out a sigh before heading towards the group of cats huddling together speaking on things he hadn't even heard of. He didn’t even attempt to listen to the things they could possibly be saying knowing fairly well that they wouldn’t let him know either way. Clearing his throat he inquired them about the patrol and when he didn’t get a reply the tom headed out of camp alone. It wasn’t unusual he was denied into the patrolling of their clans borders. Yet he could not attempt or Stormpelt would have him by his tail for such a “crime”.
