Talon of Swooping EagleThe dawn of day struck the sky a shade of grey. Some light filtered into the Death bringers den. It awoke a silver she-cat who slept close to the den entrance. She hissed as her eyes got used to the light. It was the head Death bringer, Talon of swooping eagle. Silent as a snake she Made her way to the fresh kill pile. She pushed aside a cat and a few birds until she found what she was looking for. It was a small chaffinch, but it would do for her. She carried it softly to a spot in the main clearing. There she settled down to and took a bite from her chaffinch. She began thinking of what to do today. perhaps she would visit her sister and her niece and nephew. Or maybe the Bone cleaner might have a mission for her.

Hawk With Sharp Claws
Hawk looked around, then yawning, he stretched. He then slowly rose to his full height and walked out of his den. He had slept well, but had laid there awake for the last little while. He had been thinking, something he did a lot lately. He looked around and spotted Talon as she chose a piece of prey. He wasn't really hungry, but to keep up strength, he forced himself to find something small to eat. He looked for other Tribe cats, but they were scattered, and all seemed to be busy. He made his way to join Talon with his small meal in his jaws.

Pretty pretty tribe cats, all wasting away the day. Break slid from his low den and leapt the short distance to the clearing below, smooth muscles rippling as he landed neatly. Standing tall, the steel grey tabby surveyed his Tribe with cold, golden eyes. How was he to work with any of them, if they spent the day twiddling their paws and eating? You can only eat if you catch the prey, and right now a lot of prey was being caught down throats, but not on claws. That was not what he needed.
The long-legged tom glided forward, prowling like smoke over the black rocks of his chasm home. The inky river flowed beside him as he moved, circling the clearing in an almost predatory fashion before leaping up onto a higher stone ledge. He saw better from a distance, and Break was a born observer.
He saw his Head Death Bringer, choking down prey when she hadn't done any work today. Lazy. He saw the half-tribe Death Bringer Hawk mowing down beside her. Lazy.
Why was no one doing their jobs? How was he to plot demises and bathe in blood, when nobody was working. Quite obviously, he didn't believe in holidays.
Leaping down from his perch effortlessly, Break landed on silent paws and ghosted over to the pair, long tail flipping like a whip. "Talon, Hawk, how nice to see you this fine morning. You both seem well." he purred, words barbed by the coldness in his gold eyes. He was in a sour mood that morning, though really most mornings made him sour anyhow. It was usually best not to argue with the tabby tom.
"I expect you've made preparations to escort a hunt later, of course Talon, seeing as you've already helped yourself to the fresh-kill." Break purred silkily, drifting his eyes neutrally down to the chaffinch the she-cat was eating. "You'll have no qualms with me accompanying you, of course." he murmured, phrasing it as an order rather than a question. He gaze flickered to Hawk and he examined the half-blood with the type of analytic gaze that one might use to inspect a fresh caught mouse. "You'll be coming too of course, as added protection, Hawk."
His gaze lifted back over to talon, examining her roughly. "Of course I leave it to you to decide which hunters we will be accompanying."

OOC: Sorry I don't want to be rude but 1: Talon is a girl. 2: She is Head Death Bringer not the hunter. Again sorry but I had to point out this before we continue. Talon of Swooping EagleTalon noticed the half-tribe tom walking toward her. Her blue eyes scanned over him quickly then she turned to see Break climbing from his den. Talon guessed he was out to stretch his legs or get some prey of his own. She continued to eat her chaffinch her eyes following him. When break Walked in her direction she looked down at her half eaten chaffinch. She knew Break wouldn't be in a very good mode so why bother saying anything to him while he made his way to her. He was the bone cleaner and she was there through the bad days and the good days. She waited to see what he wanted. She doubted it was advise she was young she didn't have much advise to offer. Obviously he wanted something and she doubted it was from the half-tribe tom. Her blue gaze looked onward to see into Break's golden eyes. "Talon, Hawk, how nice to see you this fine morning. You both seem well." Although Talon could see the anger in his eyes. "I expect you've made preparations to escort a hunt later, of course Talon, seeing as you've already helped yourself to the fresh-kill." Talon knew what Break was getting at she had seen it when she watched the head death bringer before her. Her ears perked as she listened to Break continue what he was saying. Gently Talon nodded her head to agree with Break. She didn't care much for what he had to say to Hawk but she began thinking of who to take with them. Not many cats were up and she couldn't find the head hunter to ask which cats she could take. So she had to pull who she could. "Of course Break I shall fetch the hunters then." She said calmly as she rose to her paws. She licked the remains of her meal from her lips then nodded to the Bone Cleaner before departing to find a few hunters.
She spotted two hunter she knew fairly well. The one was Tooth of Grey wolf and the other was Star in the Night Sky. "Tooth, Star, your coming with Me, Break, and Hawk on a hunting party." The two toms nodded. They both knew not to question it if Break was involved. Talon turned and walked towards Break her thin tail Twitching from side to side in annoyance as the toms made their way to the group. "Would you like to take the lead Break?" said Tooth trying to be nice.

Hawk noticed Break too late. He had just settled down next to Talon when he spotted the tom. The Bone Cleaner was cruel and heartless, even to his own Tribe members. Hawk tried to brace himself for the abuse he was sure to take. He was not surprised that Talon had been noted first. Most would think this because of rank, but that was not so here. Break cared nothing for rank, and those with higher rank, got higher abuse when they messed up. No, it was because Hawk was only half Tribe, and had a weakness that Break hated. Hawk was sensitive to loud noises and because of this, Break always seemed to yell when speaking to Hawk. Hawk could hear the contempt in Break's words, and knew that trouble would soon come. Then it did. Him go out on a trip with Break?! He chocked on his prey that he had been swallowing, and had to fight to get it down. He finally did, and looked at Break, then Talon to see what would happen next. He knew his day had started out too good to be true. He would go, he had no choice, but he would be glad when this day was over. He hated Break, would gladly kill him even, but respected him. He knew that in a fight, he was no where near a match for Break, and so he silently hid his feelings and obeyed orders. He was the one who took all the stuff Break could throw at him, then silently went on with life, untouched by the harm inflicted. He would not usually speak out, but he was not broken by it. Of course. he agreed, knowing anything else would be futile. As Talon agreed, and called two Hunters to them, he watch. He knew these Hunters, not well, but they had worked together before. Guarding them would give him something to do on this hunt. As he watched Talon, he could tell by her demeanor and that tail twitch of hers that she was upset with this turn of events. Who wouldn't be?! Then as she offered the lead to Break, he turned back to his leader.
