Warkit// Warpaw // Wardance - The Basics Name - Wardance Clan - Shadowclan Rank - Deputy Age - 26 Moons Gender - Male
- Appearance // Personality Brief Appearance - A well built grey tabby tom with green eyes. Full Appearance - This tom's body is built off of muscle and fur. He stands on fairly long legs to which he uses as an advantage for when it comes to fighting and chasing after prey. His pelt color is more of a smokey blue then anything with those stray splashes of white marking themselves across his muzzle, upper eyes, and chest. Along his pelt are darker markings of grey that blend into his pelt after shifting back to the normal color of smokey blue lower onto his body. His left ear is torn slightly from a former Riverclan battle but it doesn't seem to slow the tom down at all. His pelt is slightly thick, making him look slightly embarrassing when it all fluffs out if he was to get angered. His eyes are a lime green color that stand out against his grey pelt. Personality - Wardance has a stance of annoyance towards a lot of things, those things being opposing clans who don't know how to keep up their side of deals, cats with attitude when it comes to patrols and clan rules, and stuck ups. For someone who despising cats with attitude he seems to have one quite a bit more often then he should. He feels that he deserves respect as the deputy of Shadowclan and enjoys drinking in the feeling of it once he has achieved it from his fellow clan mates. Though he can be a jerk sometimes the grey tom takes his job as deputy rather seriously and would rather find himself buried in a hole somewhere instead of letting his future clan down. The tom knows to abide by the rules and does so dutifully as he had no intentions of dropping his rank because of some unworthy cause or from some foolish mistake he made. Wardance is quick to go around and snap out orders but when once the rules are over thrown against him and he's on the other end of the stick he tends to choose brute force instead of words. When in a battle Wardance has a tendency to think before he acts as he recalls haven't let it all get the better of him when he killed an Riverclan apprentice in the midst of a battle. After that he's never been on exactly good stances with the water loves as he makes tendencies to keep his distance from them as much as he possibly can. Despite his bulk and harsh personality that expresses his pride he has a deathly fear of water and will only ever use it as a water source for drinking to stay alive. Any other circumstances are out of the question, no matter the problems at hand. Beneath his tough outer core he does seem to have an affectionate and protective side that rarely seems to open up. He sees no need in opening old wounds and has no intention unless it's forced out of him.
- Past History - Warkit and Battlekit were born on a fairly stormy night, water attempting to invade every crack of the camp it could squeeze its way in to. Even the Riverclanners had to have been having a hard time dealing with this much water. Their mother Daisypetal had just recently cleaned the two bundles of squirming and yelping fur while their father Distantheart gazed down upon his new family in a sense of pride and affection. Who knew such an innocent and loving family would eventually end in such turmoil? As Warkit and Battlekit grew everything sparked a sudden interest for the grey and black toms. Off they would go, poking at the smaller kits and taunting them with such rudeness it was almost unreal to witness. As much as they were scolded and cuffed they would never learn their lesson in taunting the younger kittens and rolling them about on the floor in an attempt to play even though they could barely move yet. "Ey' Warkit! Check'em out! Little fuzz ball's yowlin' for his mommy!" Battlekit would snicker while Warkit would simply go along with his brother and mess with the kits even more until they were taken from the den and scolded until they probably wished they would just die right then and there, considering Distantheart and Daisypetal would kill them with boredom.
Needless to say every single one of the queens nearly fainted with relief when Warkit and Battlekit earned their apprentice names and moved into the apprentice's den. Warpaw and Battlepaw immediately saw this as a new and delightful experience but were immediately put in place by the older apprentices who had got their priorities straight as soon as the two 'kits' had took first paw step into the den. Unsatisfied with the new rules Battlepaw immediately took it upon himself to try and prove himself to the others while Warpaw was perfectly content with hanging out in the apprentice's den, simply delighted that they didn't have to deal with yowling nursery kits any longer. But Warpaw made the constant mistake of his life and agreed to follow Battlepaw out to a nearby river in the territory that they used for a water source while Battlepaw mumbled the whole way, "A kit. I'll show them who's the kit." Apparently the deal from the older apprentices had been that if Battlepaw could go out and catch a frog by the river, since by that time it was Leaf Bare and they barely had any food to go around the clan, he'd be given the respect he deserved. Little did Battlepaw, Warpaw, or anyone else know that this was about to go horribly wrong. As soon as they got to the river Warpaw had made the mistake of poking his nose closer to the ripples tides then he had intended and fell face first into the watery depths, unable to swim and gasping for breath as he attempted to keep his head above water. Battlepaw, at a loss for anything else to do unless he wanted to watch his brother die of bitter frost and water, hurried in and drug his siblings back to land, both of them freezing their tails off and dripping in the cold liquid. A few days later after dragging themselves back to camp Warpaw seemed fine and as healthy as he could be while Battlepaw had been struck with Green Cough and put into the medicine cat's den. Dying of guilt and pain Warpaw sat at his brother's side each day, watching him suffer from the sickness that eventually claimed Battlepaw's life.
Afterwards Warpaw kept his mouth shut, silently doing his duties as told and when told and keeping track of his training. The moons crept by fast and as Warpaw gained his personality back he also earned his warrior name of Wardance, though the guilt and blame he held for Battlepaw never left his presence. As the youngest of all the warriors in the den Wardance was teased and picked on quite a lot. The older warriors would scoff and mock when he came in from patrols worn out, and every suggestion Wardance would make, no matter how good it was, always seemed to be a bad one in the others eyes. "What a stupid idea! What mouse brain came up with that? Wardance, I'm sure." They would snicked if one of his ideas were actually mentioned. Eventually the grey tom had had enough and decided to put a stop to this, easily standing up for himself and putting the warriors in their place after a smart remark to them to show he wasn't as stupid and puny as they thought. Once that didn't seem to work he immediately through himself into a fight with one of the warriors and earned himself apprentice duties for the next few moons, though the tom seemed to respect the fact that Wardance had stood up to him and finally dropped the charade of tease. As life went on and Wardance still held the rank of a young warrior the leader of Shadowclan decided it was time to go out of a hunt and when prey couldn't be found in their territory they mistakenly moved into Riverclan where they found themselves in a fight for food and survival. Wardance seemed to let everything get the better of him and found himself killed off a little apprentice that stood in his way, having simply let the anger and annoyance get the better of him. Though he regrets it he immediately attempts to block everything about it out when it comes to mind.
Moons afterwards as Wardance proved himself worthy over and over again and their former leader passed his ninth life he was promoted to the rank of deputy. Some of the other warriors didn't seem to like it at all but what could they really say? All they could do was grumble under their breath while Wardance smirked smugly at the lot of them and his respected position.
