{ foxfur }Another bright and wonderful morning. The ginger tabby hurried along, nose to the ground, sifting through the various scents. His pelt didn't provide much in the way of camouflage, so if he was to have any luck with the rabbits, he would need to rely on his sense of smell to get the upper hand. The trails crossed in places, some from faint and some fresh. It took him a while to finally find a relatively fresh trail, but once he had, he was off. The fresh-kill pile was practically empty when he woke just before dawn, so rather than wait for instruction, he decided to go out on his own. With any luck he could get back to camp with a rabbit and maybe a bird or something in time to be sent out on patrol. The scent he was following began to grow stronger, and before too long Foxfur was situated behind a clump of heather, watching a young rabbit nibble away the grass. Falling into a familiar crouch, he slunk out of hiding as far as he dared. The rabbit paused for a moment, nose twitching, before returning to its meal. Taking in a breath, the young warrior charged forward, a paw catching a pebble and sending it skidding away. The rabbit squealed and ran. With a growl of frustration, Foxfur tore after it.

Shadowfall rolled his shoulders to stretch as he walked. He had woken early, and had left for a walk before the day began. He had not planned to hunt, but now that he was up, he thought it wasn't such a bad idea. The fresh kill pile was pretty low when he had left. Just then in the distance he caught sight of another warrior. This one seemed to be hunting, but having little luck. His ginger pelt standing out in contrast to the Moorlands in which he hunted. Shadowfall has similar troubles with his black and white pelt, but not quite on the same level. As first Shadowfall meant to avoid the other tom all together, but then as he got a little closer, he realized that there was a rabbit near. He stopped and watched to see what happened. All looked good, until Foxfur sent a pebble bouncing along the ground. The rabbit bolted, and so did both toms. The rabbit went right past Shadowfall, just out of reach. He pushed forward, ignoring Foxfur as they charged after the prey. With a snarl, he threw himself at the rabbit, hoping to tackle it. Front paws out stretched, claws unsheathed. He bared his fangs as he began to land.

Nectarflare was out and about. He did not usually have so much free time, but today seemed special. Everything was routine at camp, and he had time to head out alone. He headed out hoping for some alone time. Maybe some plotting time. But that wasn't what happened. He soon heard scuffling, and two toms chasing a rabbit. Startled, the tome bit back a little. He wasn't in any position to help out the two toms. But he decided to follow behind them.
Ebonyheart had been following Nectarflare at a safe distance. The deputy was his idol. Everything he wanted to be and more. He'd thought he'd get some alone time to talk to the tom, but alas it was to no avail. The deputy just happened to run into two other Windclan toms and had joined in the pursuit of a rabbit. Ebonyheart followed too, hoping to maybe get conversation with the deputy afterwards.

{ foxfur }The rabbit was just out of his pouncing range, feet pattering lightly on the packed soil as it fled for its life. Foxfur knew it had probably frightened off any other potential fresh-kill in the area with that squeal earlier, so if he wanted to catch something for the Clan this rabbit was his best bet. He was so focused on the task at paw he didn't notice Shadowfall until the other tom was leaping for the rabbit. His appearance was so sudden Foxfur nearly lost his footing. The orange tabby skidded to a stop as Shadowfall took over the hunt, his pounce landing him neatly in place to finish the catch. Curling his lip in annoyance, Foxfur closed the distance between himself and his fellow warrior. "Good catch," he muttered, keeping most of his anger out of his tone and forcing his slowly bristling fur to flatten. This was his Clanmate, not some rogue or intruder stealing his catch. The rabbit was still going to feed WindClan. I nearly had it, though. Well, There was really no point in dwelling on it. Rather than stick around, Foxfur began to take his leave, scenting the air to seek out any other sources of prey.
((Really hope that was okay, I figured you'd left it open like that since I was the one to bring in the rabbit.))

Shadowfall
The large black tom landed smoothly on top of the rabbit, and killed it swiftly. He then lifted his large head to look around. He knew that Foxfur would be there, but had not expected Nectarflare and Ebonyheart to be there too. Thanks. He spoke softly at the praise. He looked at the other too curious for a moment, then spoke. Can I help you, Nectarflare? He asked, pointedly ignoring Ebonyheart for the moment. He knew that Foxfur was upset that Shadowfall stole his prey, but if the black tom had not stepped in, the prey would have been lost. As for the other two though, they had to of been too far away to help, why had they followed? He wasn't sure, curiosity perhaps? Or maybe they were just passing though and had spotted them in the heat of the chase? Either way, Shadowfall looked up, and listened attentively for who ever would step up and speak first.
[OOC: That's fine, I left it open on purpose. I didn't want to jump in and still your prey. Thank you for checking though. Some people would have been upset about that, but I did leave it open ended on purpose, and it turned out fine. Also sorry it's taking me a little while to reply, and it's so short.]
